Max returns to her old neighborhood as the lead singer of a rock band. There, she is confronted by memories, new information, and truths that have been kept silent for years: Sonia is a voice that speaks from beyond the grave; Ramira and La Carcacha rule the neighborhood's misery; and La Guama is sinking into madness. The reasons for her abandonment are starkly revealed, along with the deaths and unfulfilled promises. Max returns to die, but not before understanding and giving meaning to all the reasons left unresolved.
*A 5-minute short film, with an introduction and closing reflection, will be shown at the beginning and end of each screening.
In collaboration with the Mexican Academy of Film Arts and Sciences.
