Tecate Peninsula in Tijuana 2026: Date, Lineup, Venue, and Tickets

The Tecate Peninsula Festival returns to Tijuana in 2026 after a year's hiatus, with a lineup that confirms the wait was worthwhile. Caifanes and Interpol headline an edition that also debuts a new venue: the Explanada del Estadio Caliente (Caliente Stadium Esplanade).

Date and Venue

Tecate Peninsula 2026 will take place on October 24 at the Explanada del Estadio Caliente in Tijuana, Baja California. This is a venue change from previous editions, where the festival alternated between the Parque Morelos parking lot and the Plaza Monumental esplanade in Playas de Tijuana, the latter being the venue in 2024.

Why There Was No Tecate Peninsula in 2025

In August 2025, Apodaca Group and OCESA announced that Tecate Peninsula would not be held in Tijuana that year. Instead, the festival merged with Tecate Supremo to be held in Ciudad Juárez. The official statement indicated that in 2026 Tijuana would once again host a festival that would unite the essence of both events. Tecate Supremo, for its part, has already confirmed its return to Ciudad Juárez in 2027.

Their presence on the lineup carries particular symbolic weight for this edition, which debuts in a new venue. Julieta Venegas, also from Tijuana, adds another name with local roots to the lineup.

The presale begins on May 15 at 2:00 PM, and general sales start the following day, May 16 at 2:00 PM through eticket.mx, with the option of 3 interest-free installments with Banamex.

Format and Duration

Historically, it is a one-day festival with multiple simultaneous stages. In 2024, the doors opened in the afternoon and the last performances concluded after midnight, totaling more than 10 hours of activity. This would be the seventh edition of the festival since its inception in 2018.
