The story is set in 1985 in the Paris suburbs. Vincent is about to turn 13, and his life unfolds amidst a distant older brother, parents in constant conflict, and his school friends. As he tries to understand why adults seem so lost, we share in his questions regarding cultural identity, friendship, family, religion, and the first stirrings of love. A tender, luminous comedy about that age when the hope of changing the world was not "just an illusion." The directors of *The Intouchables* delve into the past to tell a beautiful coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of a family portrait.
