Duel of Traditions in Tijuana 2025: Charros vs. Rodeo at Plaza Juan Cañedo
Next Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., the Duel of Traditions will be held in Tijuana at Plaza Juan Cañedo, located inside the Caliente Racetrack. This event commemorates its first anniversary by pitting the three national styles of horse riding against each other: charros, rodeo, and jaripeo. It will also be 100% family-friendly, with limited seating and a musical closing performance after the rides.
Duel of Traditions in Tijuana – Programs and Ranches
Hosts are the Caliente and Rancho El Eucalipto ranches, which will compete with riders from each discipline to demonstrate their equestrian prowess.
Live music and a family atmosphere
The event will include performances by NG y sus Leales, Mariachi Premier, Triple Cuerda, and Euforia, creating a festive and regional atmosphere after the rides. In addition, a traditional dance will be held at the end of the competition, maintaining a safe environment suitable for all ages.

The event will be held in Plaza Juan Cañedo, next to Entrance 4 of Estadio Caliente. Tickets are available through Primera Fila.
