Director Agustina Willat García's debut film portrays the encounter between Uruguayan and Sahrawi filmmakers in a refugee camp in the heart of the Sahara Desert, where filmmaking is as rare as it is difficult for many reasons. Even so, a group of young graduates from the local film school shoot short films and lead workshops while reflecting on their future and the conflict that has kept them displaced for over 40 years. As a nomadic culture with an oral tradition, their history has been passed down through generations via poetry.
