Documentary about the unique musical encounter between Daniel Medina, a Wixárika violinist from the community of Santa Catarina, Jalisco, and the renowned New York composer Philip Glass. The documentary features live music from rehearsals and performances in prominent venues in Mexico and New York. This music is typically heard only in traditional Wixárika ceremonies, but this time with an unprecedented addition: a grand piano. Although Daniel and Philip come from very different backgrounds and don't even speak the same language, together they have created a common ground where their spirits can meet and unravel their music.
