1st Tijuana Film Festival 2025: Boosting Film Talent from Northern Mexico
The 1st Tijuana Film Festival 2025 will take place from October 25 to November 9 at various venues throughout the city, such as Cinépolis Playas de Tijuana and the Casa de la Cultura. Its program includes national and international screenings, master classes, discussions, and training activities to strengthen the film industry in Baja California.
The 1st Tijuana Film Festival is here to strengthen Baja California's audiovisual scene.
The Tijuana Film Festival (FCTJ) is celebrating its first edition as a joint initiative between the Ministry of Culture of the 25th Tijuana City Council, the Government of Baja California, civil associations, and the private sector. Its main objective is to strengthen the local film industry through economic incentives, professional training, cultural promotion, and visibility for emerging talent from the northern region of the country. During the festival, there will be in-person screenings at Cinépolis Playas de Tijuana and parallel activities at the Casa de la Cultura in Playas de Tijuana. There will also be meeting spaces such as Coffee Talks at local cafes—Dos Lobos, Lento Café, Nueve Coffee Bar, Playa 81, Baristi Tostadores, and Aum Coffee—where the public can interact with filmmakers, actors, and experts in national cinema.
