Description
Krapp's last tape is considered Samuel Beckett's monologue with the most autobiographical overtones, written in 1958. Moving, lyrical and sentimental, the proposal shows a man who has a lot of Beckett himself: his loves, his losses, his return to Ireland, the women in his life and the crisis he lived through, to tell us about vulnerability and human frailty, the passage of time and the harshness of old age, through an older man who turns to his past and confronts his imperfections, both then and now, just as we do when we turn to our memories.
