Miranda has spent four years locked away in her apartment, isolated from the world and hating it from afar; Baltasar has just escaped from an ultra-religious cult. Miranda lives immersed in fantasies of bloody revenge, and Baltasar sees God everywhere. When Baltasar, yearning for connection, moves into the apartment across the street, Miranda will find herself drawn into a friendship she never asked for.
