Synopsis
Fermín lives between working as a diablero and locking her up at home. Like him, other families live in a neighborhood in the center of Mexico City, each in their own universe. When a company in collusion with the government threatens to evict the neighborhood to turn it into a shopping mall, the tenants are forced to snap out of their apathy and unite to defend their homes. Inspired by the Tenant Movement of the 1920s in the Mexican capital, the second feature film by Iria Gómez Concheiro is a portrait of the acts of resistance and struggle for decent housing in the face of the indifference and violence of gentrification.
