Description
It was born as a blanket to wrap us up, to be a lullaby and a companion in one of the loneliest, most violent, and complex times of our time. In this concert, Paulo Piña on piano, accordion, and backing vocals, Cesar Martinez on bass and backing vocals, Pavel Gonzales on the Cajon Set, and Emilio Bozzano on jarana and lead vocals address difficult-to-name topics such as forced disappearance, femicide, and freedom of expression. At the same time, they seek to twist the thread in their songs to fill us with hope, reflection, and love.
Emilio Bozzano Azpiri, composer and stage designer, brings us this collection of intimate songs in a quartet format, placing the jarana as the central axis of the melody, breaking away from the established canons of son jarocho and flirting with various genres from the singer-songwriter's perspective.
