Crumb is an American indie rock band founded in Boston, although made up of several Brooklyn-based musicians: Lila Ramani (guitar and vocals), Jesse Brotter (bass and backing vocals), Brian Aronow (synths, keyboard, saxophone), and Jonathan Gilad. (drums), who have known each other since college. In 2016 these friends got together to record some songs that Ramani wrote during high school and college. Thus were born the band's first two EPs, Crumb (2016) and Locket (2017), both released independently on cassette through the label, Citrus City Records. Two years later, Crumb released his debut album titled: Jinx. This material received positive comments from critics as it mixes dream pop, trip hop and psychedelic rock that accompany the sweet voice of Lila Ramani. In 2021, Crumb publishes his most recent material called Ice Melt, where they take sounds from the 60s as a reference, achieving a sufficiently nostalgic and dark production. His well-known psych rock prevails, but we can find new rhythms such as jazz, grunge, pop and electronica. Get swept away on Crumb's musical journey at the Indie Rocks Forum! next April 28.
