DEPEDRO is the musical project of Jairo Zavala (Madrid, Spain - 1973), started in 2008 with the album "Depedro" recorded with the American band CALEXICO in Tucson (Arizona), a collaboration that continues and mutates when he becomes the band's guitarist. who is touring all over the world, recording his albums, composing and singing any Calexico song. From that moment until today, the border project DEPEDRO has poured musical, aesthetic and cultural influences from Latin America, Africa, the Mediterranean or the United States into a musical career that has already reached six full-length albums published by Warner His music has taken him to the five continents, His records are published in more than 30 countries, collaborations with musicians from all over the world in different languages and from many cultures, that is one of the artist's hallmarks. In 2018, to celebrate 10 years of the musical project, Depedro brought the band and their artist friends together in the studio to record live the compilation of collaborations "Todo va salir bien" (2018) -in which Coque Malla, Fuel Fandango, Santiago Auserón, Luz Casal, Vetusta Morla, Izal, Amparo Sánchez and Camilo Lara from the Mexican Institute of Sound-. The successful tour “Todo va salir bien” with more than 100 concerts in Europe and America in which 80% of them sold out ended January 2019 with three nights to remember with full capacity at the La Riviera venue (2,200 people x day) in Madrid. Since then he has released his sixth studio album "Máquina de Piedad" (2021), and the live album "Antes de que anochezca" (2022) remembering that three magical nights live in Madrid 2019.
