Botas Negras in Tijuana 2025: Celebrating 30 Years of Latin Grunge

Chilean band Botas Negras will perform in Tijuana on May 31, 2025, at the Black Box venue in the Centro region. This event marks the band's return to the stage to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of their debut album, a production that left its mark on the history of Latin grunge.

Currently comprised of Claudio Pérez (vocalist and founder of Radio Kaos), Julián Salas (bass), and Tito Sánchez (guitar), Botas Negras will offer a night dedicated to reliving the songs from their 1995 self-titled album. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. and is aimed at those 18+. Tickets are now available through Arema.mx, with prices ranging from $250 in presale to $500 in the VIP area.

Celebration of Grunge Legacy in Tijuana

Botas Negras' concert in Tijuana will include a full performance of their album "Botas Negras," along with selected tracks from their second album, "Out in the Blue." The band is also expected to surprise with new covers and previously unreleased songs as part of this special celebration.

Special Guests and Alternative Atmosphere

The lineup includes bands ORTO and PULPPO, who will open the evening with alternative rock offerings. The Black Box, known for its proximity to the independent scene and its intimate atmosphere, will be the ideal venue for this 90s grunge reunion.

2025 Tour and Upcoming Destinations

After selling out tickets in July 2024 in Mexico City, Botas Negras continues its 2025 tour through key cities in the north of the country. Upcoming dates are expected in Mexicali, Ensenada, and Hermosillo. This reunion represents a sonic journey that connects generations through Spanish rock.
