Borrados is a performance project that investigates the historical, symbolic, and material erasure of the nomadic peoples of northeastern Mexico, referred to as "rayados" or "borrados" (scratched or erased) in colonial narratives. The work unfolds as a sensitive excavation of the territory, where body, word, image, and sound activate non-linear memories. In collaboration with Kooperativa Rayenari, the project proposes a situated listening that recognizes emptiness not as absence, but as a condition of emergence, and the territory as an active archive traversed by traces, displacements, and forms of survival that persist in the present.
