- The life of the stars is fascinating, from their birth in groups of thousands to their generally solitary death. Of all the stages in a star's life, its death is the most spectacular. In this talk we will address the different stages in the life of a star, focusing on those that give rise to the so-called Supernovae:

the great cosmic explosions.
