This garage punk rock band formed in Mexico City in 1996 and was initially created by Jenny Bombo and Tere Farfissa. Their lyrics have always been disruptive and seek to break the stigma of femininity imposed on women. They point out that their songs are a tribute to the style of El Haragán and Loba, singers of the song "Maldito Perro."
The band went through several lineup changes over the years. However, their rebellious spirit and commitment to self-expression never wavered. With lyrics that addressed topics such as sexuality, rebellion, and nightlife, Las Ultrasónicas challenged social norms and became a symbol of female empowerment in music.
