DESCRIPTION
In the current context of the art system, besides producing work the artist must acquire another type of tools that allow him to design strategies to finance, exhibit, distribute and market his work; he must be his own manager.
This workshop seeks to provide tools for management, from the analogy of the circulatory system, proposes pumping exercises, transport and distribution of the work within the artistic circuit-system. Seeks to stimulate the design of financing and circulation strategies of work and projects of participating lxs.
SEMBLANCE
Antonio Lozano (Acapulco, Gro.)
He is Founder and Co-Director of Programa Educativo de Arte Contemporáneo Acapulco , a member of the Art-Education Collective: Pause the Machine. He was Coordinator of Visual Arts of the XIII Festival Acapulco Book Boat and Coordinator of Exhibitions and Educational Activities in La Quebrada, Espacio de Art. He has obtained scholarships from the JUMEX Contemporary Art Foundation, FONCA, PECDA (in Morelos and Guerrero) twice. His work has been presented at the 1st Meeting of Contemporary Art in Oaxaca, the 2nd Acapulco Contemporary Art Festival (FARCA), Zone Maco Foto, Photo-Spain, College of San Ildefonso, Image Center, Casa de America, Spain, the A RT Museum of the Americas, Washington, The Light Factory in Charlotte, gallery ArtexArte, Argentina. Has been selected in the Transatlantic Portfolio Views of the Photoespaña Festival, the Latin American Photography Colloquium, the International Photography Festival of Mexico, has been published in the Book: Unveil and Detonar, Photography in Mexico, in the Magazine 192, Starting Point, in the Hybrid Notebook: 731 days and on the Liminal Device. He has cured interventions in public space: The Street as a Space of Protest, The Taking of Casona and co-curated: War in Paradise.
